Let's Go Mountaineers!

Excuse for no posts: just busy life recently, am going to try harder to post regularly though :)

Well I went to my first non high school football game today. It was sooo much fun! We knew how to get to Morgantown, but we weren't completely sure where the stadium was and the gps crapped out right when we needed it (of course!) so we found this guy... we were pretty sure he was going to the game and... he was! haha

I was a little nervous about it because it was a sold out game and a very big game and I didnt want to feel overwhelmed by the amount of people. There was A LOT of people, but the game was a blast!

I'm not happy with how this picture turned out, but oh well it was still a fun day! So for our special day I decided I wanted to wear something special.. and a girl I went to high school with makes headbands and I LOVE how it turned out... it's super cute!

Our little Wynston turned 5 this week!! We got him some toys and treats and stuff and as soon as we walked in the door w/ the bag he got sooo excited and started pulling stuff out, but I made him wait so I could get a picture of him, you can see the look of frustration and "can you please hurry this up" on his face lol

Well, finally I made a post! Now the goal is just to post more often haha

So far this has been a pretty busy week and a

very cold week. I hate waking up when it's cold outside. Work has been pretty good though. It's like employee appreciate week so everyday has a theme and they provide lunch and prizes and games, etc. As much cotton candy as you would like :)

There's a farm stand by our house that has really good corn on the cob and this time i tried their apples!

They are little bit more expensive, but definitely worth it.

Last night for dinner was roast chicken and roasted potatoes... really yummy, cheap and easy!

So I bought a bunch of things on oldnavy.com and most worked but 3 shirts were just wayyy too big and stretchy so I took them back and i have the receipt for all but one and so they gave me store credit, no problem. EXCEPT that they MAIL you the store credit instead of giving it to you right there... sooo frustrating! Oh well, hopefully i get it soon!

Fresh Start

So I obviously got severely far behind haha... Well here is my fresh start, my new plan is I will take a photograph every day but only post them once or twice a week. Today has been wonderful... we have had a wonderful LAZY Sunday. I refused to get out of my pjs today lol. So lazy day included watching TV with my Wynston.

here's our pretty roses and the the purple flower is off the vine that is climbing our tiki torch. i hate these vines, but they have very pretty flowers and its pretty amazing how they climb around everything... well i'm looking forward to getting into this again. Oh and I have my first "official photography job" on Oct 3rd. Its for a co-worker and i'm really really nervous but super excited. Hopefully she loves it and will tell all of my other coworkers so i can do this more often :)

boredom

i took a bunch of pictures today out of boredom and definitely played around w/ editing!

I love editing my pictures. I just love how I change and tweak my pictures. I love taking pictures but I think I almost like editing them more. I haven't had much time to play around w/ editing until today. So I'm pretty happy w/ how they turned out :)

best sick buddy

i'm still home sick... but one thing i love about being home sick is Wynston. He is THE best sick buddy. He just snuggles next to me ALL day. I love it.

he's also just really cute to watch :)

if its not one thing its another....

so yesterday my ear started hurting a little bit, enough for me to go to CVS and get some earache medicine and i just intended on going to my family Dr on Tuesday on my day off. Well... this morning I woke up and I couldn't hear anything at all out of my right ear and the pain was just completely unbearable I was crying and I just couldn't wait for the family Dr so I went to the ER and found my ear canal completely closed up. They had to stick this thing in

my ear

just to keep it open. So I have to keep this in for 3 days so the canal will stay open. I'm taking medicine, drops and pain killers and it still is just throbbing pain. I just hope it stops soon. However Dr's orders are no work for 3 days. Wont be fun days off but at least I don't have to worry about being in pain at work.

So we had another yard surprise. It's called a moon flower. It only blooms at night and it bloomed for the first time last night! We have been watching and waiting patiently for it to finally bloom and it was well worth it!

cheating

Wow obviously this is more difficult than expected posting 1 picture everyday. Its not hard for me to take a picture everyday, because i have been doing that very easily. The hard part is taking the time to post them! so i'm going to cheat on this post haha

THURSDAY

We bought beach balls for the pool and Wynston stole this one and had a BLAST with it! He played with it throwing it around and pushing all through the house having so much fun til he busted it :) he still wants to play w/ the flat ball though haha

FRIDAY

Walking out to my car to go to work this morning the dew just looked so pretty on these flowers!

SATURDAY

Michael's brother Chuck came down and spent the weekend with us. On Saturday they played in a softball tournament for a friend's mom that died and they were raising money for the funeral. they played SEVEN games of softball and were completely exhausted and sunburnt

after playing all day haha

SUNDAY

We had a pretty big storm roll through with a lot of rain and wind and so Michael suggested we unplug the filter so that it wouldnt get too clogged and burn up. so we unplugged the filter. It stormed like crazy-- and the result was a very very green pool completely full of leaves and flowers... what a mess we have to clean up!!

wow, where did that time go?

i had been asked recently "so how long have you worked here?" and my response was "about 6 months" and then all of sudden i get a plaque for my desk for being there for a whole year! i literally had NO idea it had been that long yet! that time FLEW haha

worst luck ever...

so we're driving to walmart to go grocery shopping and i'm in the middle of a 3 lane rd and all of a sudden my car just stops moving, the steering wheel is not turning, i have no power, nothing at all. so of course i start freaking out.... thank goodness michael was in the car with me. we luckily coasted into a parking lot. michael looked under the car the fuel filter literally flew off the bottom of my car and gas starts pouring out the bottom. so michael knows how to fix it, but we have no tools or anything. so he rigs it up w/ zip ties so we can get home. so this pic is from when we finally got home.

i cant tell you how many times i have seen michael is this position of looking underneath one of our cars. we seriously have THE worst luck ever with cars. this car is the newest car we have had in a long time and now it's having issues. i'm thankful i have michael who is really good with cars and we dont have to spend a lot of money on fixes and stuff, but i hate feeling afraid to drive by myself in fear of breaking down....

hopefully this fix lasts for a while....

well life got busy and didnt have a chance to upload the pics i took... here is the one i meant to upload the other night. i made a very good dinner if i do say so myself :) southwestern chicken skillet- YUM!

this is the picture i meant to upload yesterday. its of a new hydrangea bloom and the leaves just looked so pretty!

and then... from today! what else better to have for breakfast on sundays than cinnamon rolls?? not much better :)

surprise backyard blooms

so the people who lived in our house before us really didn't take care of the yard and it looked like garbage... however, they planted bulbs and about twice a month i go in my backyard and find surprise flowers!! they're all beautiful! here's the most recent surprise!

While i was trying to get the picture of the flower in the water he decided to try and help... or try to eat the flower :) hopefully there will be some more surprises for the rest of the summer!!

every week our home changes

we love our house! one thing i LOVE about is every week something is different. i'm constantly finding something else for the house or making something or just moving things around. i LOVE it! :) here's one of the more recent changes. this is on one of the walls in our bedroom...

we bought the painting at big lots for $3 and the live laugh love stickers were from the dollar store for... $1 haha. that's another thing i really try to do with our house is find the best deals. $4 for a really cute wall is not bad at all :)

so we both got home from work and we both went straight for the pool! so tonight we got in the pool and left wynston outside to play and he just ran and ran in circles and then he started jumping up and down on the sides trying to jump in.....

so michael picked him up and

brought him in the pool and he loved it. it was hysterical watching him figure out

what to do and then shake like crazy when he got out lol it was a wonderful evening with my family in our pool :)

well of course with your day off what else do we do but.... clean! of course! so we cleaned pretty much the whole house and then michael's dad, his dad's gf and michael's brother came up for late lunch.

so when we bought our pool. i said ooo michael we should get diving rings! and he just laughed and said that was silly and we didnt get them. well today he went out and bought me them!! it was a sweet surprise :)

so after michael's family left we went swimming!! it started to rain, but it was still fun. here's the view of our pool from the kitchen window. it was a lot of fun and very relaxing! can't wait to swim again tomorrow!! :)

A POOL!

is all that got me through the day! nah work wasn't that bad

and it went by pretty quickly too!

so the start of the pool story is..... i have been working a lot of overtime and my paycheck was a really really good one. so i have been wanting a pool for as long as i can remember and we have a big enough back yard that we can get a pool. so yesterday we start going to both walmarts in the area, both kmarts and both big lots and ollies and even kroger haha and there was a SINGLE pool ANYWHERE! well i finally call the marietta walmart so we dont drive all the way down

there for nothing and they had ONE! so we drove down. it was twice the size and twice the price, but b/c it was the only would we had seen. we bought it! well it didnt fit in the car. so we drove home to get the truck but when we got to our yard we realized... you know this pool is going to be HUGE and overwhelming and Wynston wont have much room to run anymore. so after about an hour of standing in the yard and measuring and contemplating we decided it wouldnt work. so we drove back to marietta got our money back and i just started thinking wow i guess we won't be getting a pool this year. well then today we were driving past the mall and there's a very expensive sporting goods store and im like ehh what the heck let's check it out... and sure enough they had the exact size we were thinking about for the perfect price. so we

it's still filling at this moment.... it's taking FOREVER haha... its been about 5 hours and still isnt full. i cant even imagine what our water bill is going to be like this month lol. oh well it will be worth it!! i'm SOOO excited for this pool! we attempted to swim tonight but it was sooo cold so we'll try again tomorrow when its a little warmer outside :)

Night with friends

I had the day off today! spent most of the day just relaxing with Wynston! He is the best to snuggle with and relax with all day :)

Then we went out to dinner at Logan's with Regina and Caleb. Had a very yummy dinner and then made a quick trip to Walmart and got some new solar lights! they look sooo cute. I really need to figure out how to use this new camera for night shots. It took me forever to even get this picture and it still isn't perfect. I love experimenting though :)

new to this

this is my first post for project 365 :) i'm going to post a new picture everyday!

today's picture is i'm SOOO proud of my garden! i started up a garden at the beginning of spring and i was told that nothing would come from it and i've already gotten a lot actually! and these cucumbers fresh from my backyard are delicious and i think me growing them myself makes them taste even better :)
